Who needs an Individual fitness program? Well, everyone.

It not just for the elite athlete that is competing. Individual Fitness Programing is exactly what it sounds like, it’s your personalized fitness prescription based around your strengths, weaknesses and most importantly your life. Each one of those components is unique to YOU, so why do we settle for a template, or set of rules that just happen to help a certain few individuals? You might think I am wrong, yet how many times have you tried a template in nutrition or fitness? Let me guess you followed it to a “T” but what happened after you were done? After they had collected your money what did they offer you afterward? Another program that they can sell you? Did you restart the program again, mimicking the same movements, restrictions for another cycle only to see less gains/ benefits from the first time? Was this followed by a period of decline, where you started loosening up your diet, changing your motivation towards working out? Slowly your body changed back to where you were before or worse? More importantly where are you today, right now while reading this sentence. Are you closer or further away from your health goals?

Most of us are busy dedicating our lives to other goals, leaving the development of our inner coach and dietitian less than optimal. Which is  okay, this is a journey that you develop over a life time not overnight. You know what else is okay? Seeking help. You have a vast amount of information at your finger tips, an overwhelming amount. Do your research, read everything, both sides of any argument and formulate a lose skeleton of rules. Keep an open mind, because data may change as time progresses. Speak to several coaches. Sit down and talk to them. See if your priorities and personalities match. Remember this is your fitness journey not theirs.
